The hotels have many different types of rooms and basically offer everything from sleeping-bag options to more luxurious panorama rooms.
If you do not wish to stay in a hotel, there are other alternatives. One alternative is to stay in private accommodation in Tasiilaq. Staying in private accommodation, such as The Green House or Robert's Apartments, provide you with the opportunity to cook your own meals.
A different kind of private accommodation is also available in the settlements. Selected Intuit families open their homes to one or two visitors and welcome them to stay with the family. It is a rare opportunity to learn about Inuit culture and their fascinating way of life. As a visitor you have two options. The first option is to rent just a bed or a room and explore the area on your own. The second option is to stay with the family for a period of time. This type of stay includes 3 meals a day, accommodation and that you will be included in all the family’s daily activities.
